THE HISTORY OF DUMAI 02 JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Dumai 02 Junior High School (NSP 01090205012) got its State School status in 1978 and one of the ten State Junior High Schools in Dumai City in present time. It is a Type A School which is addressed on Sultan Syarif Kasim Street, East Dumai District, Dumai City, Riau Province. Its area width is 19.920 m2. In 2007, Dumai 02 Junior High School got A Accreditation level or the highest score in Dumai city with 93,78 score. Formally, it got legalization as a Pre-International Standard School (SBI) from Republic of Indonesia National Education Department, based on the decision letters from the Junior High School Improvement Director, General Directorate of Elementary and Junior High Education Management, No. 230/C3/Kep/2008 on February 8^th, 2008. SBI is a national school which is preparing its learners based on Indonesian Education National Standard (SNP), therefore its graduations have international competitive ability.

2. The alumnus of Dumai 02 Junior High School which have hard-skills and soft-skills (Interpersonal and Intrapersonal) which compatible in adapting toward age changes.
3. The alumnus of Dumai 02 Junior High School which have good attitude based on local values as self-identity in a multicultural global friendship.

1. To decrease the disparity of students learning achievement in gender, parents economic background, lessons, social status, origin and teacher professionalisms
2. To increase extent access of the infrastructures and structure which are suitable with national and international standard.
3. To increase the alumnus’ input, process, and output quality this has suitable with national and international standard.
4. To increase education management efficiency to achieve national and international standard.
5. To increase relevancy of education service program to increase competitive ability at national and international level.
